Introduction
This research core focuses on preclinical studies, which are essential which are essential for translating medical technologies into clinical practice.
The core has an established track record in pharmacokinetic evaluations using cynomolgus monkeys and will further expand its capabilities to include pharmacokinetic and efficacy assessments across a range of experimental models, while maintaining a strong commitment to animal welfare.
Through close, multidisciplinary collaboration with the Molecular Imaging–Based Precision Medicine Research Core, it enhances the accuracy, reliability, and translational potential of emerging medical technologies.
In addition, the core undertakes the development of human disease models using genetic modification and genome editing, as well as the advancement of organs for xenotransplantation.
Research Overview
We are advancing the generation of animal models using developmental and reproductive engineering.
In addition to establishing models in rodents such as mice and rats, we are also developing techniques for creating models in medium-sized animals, including pigs and non-human primates.
